Zanira Clothing
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Zanira Clothing website and your purchases from us. By browsing, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms, which are intended to be consistent with applicable Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 (Kenya).
1. Who we are
Zanira Clothing is a Kenyan fashion brand that creates small-batch capsule collections and made-to-order pieces. Our studio and primary pickup location is currently in Nairobi, Kenya. You can reach us through the contact page or via WhatsApp on +254 115 450 255.
2. Eligibility & accounts
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Where you sign in via Google or other third-party providers, you must ensure those credentials remain private and up to date.
3. Products, pricing & availability
All prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless stated otherwise and include applicable taxes where required by Kenyan law. While we aim to keep stock, fabric and pricing information accurate, availability can change quickly due to the small-batch nature of our production. We may correct errors or update pricing at any time before confirming your order.
Colours and textures may vary slightly from how they appear on your screen due to lighting, photography and device displays. We do our best to describe each piece honestly so you can make an informed choice.
4. Orders, payment & delivery
An order is confirmed once we receive full payment or a successfully authorised transaction through our payment partners. We currently work with third‑party payment providers and delivery partners (such as couriers and riders). Their own terms may apply in addition to ours.
Estimated delivery and production timelines communicated on the website or via messaging are guides. They may change depending on how busy the studio is, fabric availability or courier delays. We will always aim to keep you updated and to provide realistic timeframes, especially for pre‑orders and custom pieces.
5. Made-to-order, sizing & customisations
Many Zanira pieces are made to order or produced in very small runs. We rely on the sizing and measurements you provide when placing your order. Please use our size guide and, where available, our measurement tutorials before confirming your purchase.
For custom or heavily altered pieces, we may ask for additional fittings, measurements or approvals. Depending on the level of customisation, such orders may not be eligible for exchange; this will be communicated before you pay.
6. Returns, exchanges & refund policy
At Zanira, we understand that online shopping sometimes comes with uncertainties. Our policy is designed to protect both you and the workmanship that goes into each piece:
- Return window: You may request an exchange for unworn items with original tags attached within 3 days of receipt.
- Exchange only: We do not offer cash refunds. We can assist with size or style exchanges where stock allows.
- Shipping costs: Additional delivery fees apply for exchanges, as we work with third‑party delivery services.
- Sale items: Pieces bought on sale or at a marked‑down promotional price are final sale and are not eligible for exchange.
- Quality issues: If you receive an item that is damaged or has a manufacturing defect, we will review it and, where confirmed, repair or replace the piece at no extra cost.
To initiate an exchange, please contact us via our socials or the contact page with your phone number, order reference and the reason for the exchange. We reserve the right to decline requests that fall outside this policy, for example where items have been worn, altered, washed or returned without tags.
7. Pre-orders & fabric availability
For pre‑order pieces, your purchase reserves production time and fabric. Production only begins once payment is received. If a specific fabric runs out or becomes unavailable, we may offer you a close alternative, a different fabric option or, where no agreement is possible, a store credit.
8. Intellectual property
All designs, photographs, text, logos and other content on the Zanira website and socials are the intellectual property of Zanira Clothing or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content or designs for commercial purposes without our written consent.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Kenyan law, Zanira Clothing will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or purchase of our products. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our collections, operations or applicable Kenyan law. The version published on this page is the one that applies when you place your order. We encourage you to review it periodically.
